Zombie Takeout

It’s a dark and stormy night and your favorite horror flick is on. Suddenly the clock strikes twelve and you literally jump off the couch as the zombie hand pops dramatically out of the ground. Whew! Your heart stopped beating for a while there. Maybe it’s time for a little midnight snack lest you turn into a zombie yourself.

Humming to yourself while rummaging in the pantry for something to eat is no easy task especially with the TV blaring in the living room. The screams of the undead bounce off the walls, a shudder runs up and down your spine and you just want to enclose yourself in the safety of your couch. The easiest and fastest movie snack would be grahams and water, trust me. Especially if that movie happens to be the Walking Dead, then you’re better off wrapped in a blanket in the sofa.

The sweetness of the graham cracker is a sure answer for that much needed sugar rush and the water is a welcome respite for the burn in your throat after hours of screaming. All you have to do is take a graham cracker, dip it in water, and voila! Just make sure you don’t stare at the TV screen for too long that you’ve left the graham cracker too soggy. It tastes better with that added crunch and you won’t have to keep picking at the broken pieces that have sunk to the bottom of your glass.

It is so easy to make and weirdly delicious that you won’t even mind the headless zombie swinging the machete around. A sure zombie movie-fest snack partner is at hand and you didn’t even have to stay long in the kitchen to spread jam on toast. Just make sure not to spill anything or your mom’s wrath in the morning will be a hell lot scarier than all the zombie movies combined.
